Defender™ Access Hatches
Engineered for safety, ease of use, and long-term durability — without gas struts or hinges
What is an access hatch?
Defender™ Access Hatches are roof entry points designed for safe, secure, and watertight access between internal and rooftop areas. Built with sliding lids for ergonomic, single-handed use — even while on a ladder — these hatches eliminate the hazards and maintenance issues commonly associated with hinged options.
They are constructed with insulated, trafficable materials and installed to strict waterproofing standards by certified professionals.
All hatches are installed with a hatch surround system, including guardrails and hand grab bars, to ensure safe mounting and dismounting and to prevent falls into the open void.

Where and How Defender™ Access Hatches Are Used
Rooftop service access for HVAC and solar systems
Schools, hospitals, and facility rooftops
Commercial and industrial building roof access
System Intergration
- Fold down Attic Ladders – Providing entrance to a manhole in the ceiling
- Rooftop walkway – to provide steady footing when entering or exiting the hatch
- Anchor points – allowing workers to safety attach when entering the roof
Importance of Safe Access
Access hatches are an indispensable part of ensuring both safety and efficiency in your workplace. By providing a secure, easy entry point, they allow maintenance staff and contractors to carry out inspections, repairs, and routine checks safely. Rather than risking injury or inefficient methods of accessing hard-to-reach areas, access hatches offer a controlled, organised solution.
