HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

A COMMITMENT TO HEALTH AND SAFETY

Workplace Defender recognises and is committed to its responsibility for the health, safety, and welfare of its employees, contractors, visitors, and those affected by its work.

To achieve this, Workplace Defender will:

  • comply with all relevant occupational health and safety legislation and the requirements of ISO 45001 Standard,
  • conduct regular consultations with employees on issues that will impact their health, safety and well-being,
  • Ensure OHS targets and objectives are set and reviewed to continuously improve safe work practices and prevent work-related injury and illness.

Resources commensurate with the company’s emphasis on occupational health and safety will be available to provide and maintain its employees’ physical and psychological well-being. Where Workplace Defender does not have the necessary in-house knowledge or expertise to enable it to meet its occupational health and safety obligations, Workplace Defender will ensure that advice and guidance are obtained from competent occupational health and safety professionals.

Senior managers and supervisors will be responsible for the following:

  • provide and maintain a safe work environment for employees, contractors and visitors,
  • implement policies and procedures effectively,
  • investigate and report all incidents, including near misses
  • monitor their team’s OHS performance, and implement improvements.

All employees will be expected to demonstrate a willingness to embrace safe work practices and report all hazards and incidents, including near misses, to their supervisor or manager. Employees will also be required to participate in OHS training and consultations.

This policy is but an outline of this company’s commitment to occupational health and safety. It is reviewed periodically to ensure it remains relevant to our work activities.
